Share the available drawings or model, exigences en matière de matériaux, spécifications optiques, expected quantity and target schedule. Highlight the optical surfaces, dimensions and appearance criteria that matter to the part.
Specify whether the enquiry concerns a mold, molded components, revêtement, sub-assembly or a combined project. Identify the samples, inspection records, packaging and delivery requirements you need so they can be discussed in the quotation. Timing and deliverables should be confirmed for the individual project.
Mold material, machining and polishing affect surface finish. Residual stress can affect stability, while cooling layout and local wall thickness influence warpage. The tooling route and measurement method should be reviewed against the optical surfaces and requirements of the component.
Material choice and preparation, gate and vent design, filling conditions and cooling all matter. Together they affect issues such as bubbles, residual stress and birefringence. Mold maintenance and defined inspection checkpoints help keep production aligned with the approved sample.
Start with the polymer, wavelength range and operating environment. Review the required optical and protective functions, compatible cleaning and surface preparation, and coating adhesion. Température, humidité, vibration and chemical exposure tests should be agreed for the intended application.
The Quality page brings together the inspection process and equipment categories for optical performance, surface quality and dimensions. Define the test method, sampling scope and acceptance criteria needed for your particular component.
Mold layout, runner design, maintenance and material handling can be reviewed to reduce waste and support tool life. Reuse or recycling decisions must account for optical performance. Material separation and disassembly can also be considered where end-of-life requirements apply.
